A long-term heart failure registry
The ESC has set up a long-term heart failure registry that records the characteristics and treatment of HF patients in cardiology centres.
What they did
The registry was set up in 2011 and collects data in cardiology centres on:
- patient characteristics
- diagnostics, therapeutic treatment and follow-up of HF patients in cardiology practices
- organisation of HF management across countries
- adherence to clinical guidelines and their effect on health outcomes
What they achieved?
So far more than 30 countries are taking part in the registry and in the first year 10,000 patients enrolled.
